CONSUMER HEALTH DATA PRIVACY POLICY

This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy ('Policy') supplements the Safe Date™ Privacy Policy and explains how Safe Date™ ('Safe Date™,' 'Company,' 'we,' 'us,' or 'our') handles personal information that may be considered 'consumer health data' under certain state privacy laws in connection with our website, mobile applications, products, and services (collectively, the 'Service').
This policy is intended to supplement Safe Date's general Privacy Policy. If there is any conflict between this Policy and the Privacy Policy with respect to consumer health data, this Policy will control. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given to them in our Privacy Policy or Terms of Use.
1. Collection and Use of Consumer Health Data
Safe Date™ does not believe it collects 'consumer health data,' and we do not use the data we collect to identify or make inferences about your past, present, or future physical or mental health status.
Because 'consumer health data' is defined broadly in some jurisdictions, however, information we collect from or about you from time to time may be considered 'consumer health data' under the laws of those jurisdictions. For example, if you voluntarily include health-related information in your profile, photos, messages, support requests, or safety reports, that information may be considered consumer health data.
Like other data we collect, the main reason we use this information is to provide the Service, help users connect with other members, verify users, protect user safety, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to customer requests, and operate and improve our service.
Safe Date™ uses a third-party service provider to help conduct ID verification and limited background checks before users are allowed to fully use the Safe Date™ service. Information used for that process is handled to support account verification, trust, safety, fraud prevention, and service security.
2. How We Disclose Consumer Health Data
We disclose consumer health data with the following categories of recipients when necessary for the purposes described above:
- Other users. You share information with other users when you voluntarily disclose information on the service for others to see, such as in your public profile, photos, prompts, or messages.
- Service providers. We share information with vendors that help us operate the Safe Date™ service. These vendors provide services such as website hosting, data storage and maintenance, customer care, security operations, fraud prevention, analytics, communications, ID verification, and limited background-check support.
- Parties to a corporate transaction. We may disclose your information if we are involved, in whole or in part, in a merger, sale, acquisition, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, bankruptcy, financing, or other change of ownership or control.
- Law enforcement authorities and legal processes. We may disclose your information to comply with legal process, such as a court order, subpoena, search warrant, government or law enforcement request, or other legal requirement; assist in the prevention or detection of crime; protect the safety of any person; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Safe Date™ does not sell consumer health data. Safe Date™ does not share consumer health data for targeted advertising.
3. Your Rights
You can exercise your privacy rights under applicable law by submitting a request to Safe Date's customer care or privacy team at CustomerService@SafeDate.net.
Depending on where you live, your rights may include the right to confirm whether we collect, share, or sell consumer health data about you; access your consumer health data; request deletion of your consumer health data; withdraw consent where consent is required; receive a list of third parties or affiliates with whom we have shared consumer health data; appeal a decision about your request; and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
